In case you haven't seen the trailers, there's a new horror movie coming out soon called "Drag Me To Hell". I typically don't pay any attention to horror movie trailers on TV, because they usually either freak me out or seem so ridiculous that I don't want to waste brain energy on watching them (I'm really not into horror films). But, this one caught my eye tonight, when I saw a full-length trailer for it. You can watch it here.

What caught my eye was the premise of the story. The main character, some girl at a bank who wants a promotion, is faced with an elderly customer asking for an extension on her mortgage. She appears to want to help the lady, but her boss puts her in a position that anyone with a sadistic boss will recognize: Telling her in no uncertain terms that the extension can't be granted, and portraying it as her decision rather than his. The fucked-up part is that the elderly lady then puts some sort of curse on the girl.

Now, I know that rational, logical thought doesn't mix with horror movie plots, but am I the only one who finds it rather wrong that the lowly desk worker is the one who's getting cursed, instead of the manager who's ultimately responsible for denying the claim?

Just my random thought for the day.
