Geek Humour From Ten Years Ago
Feb. 10th, 2010 05:01 amIn the process of setting up my new PC, I needed a floppy disk for the SATA drivers. So, I grabbed the first one I found out of the drawer, and saw it had files on it, a bunch of .eml files. Thankfully, they were saved in plain text, so I could open them; they were emails I had saved from one of my earliest email accounts.
Most of them were joke emails, and this one particularly made me giggle, just because of how outdated it is. So, I give you "You might be a geek if...".

Ten years ago, this was obscure geek humour. Nowadays, the references that aren't obsolete apply to pretty much everyone universally, from the uber-nerds to the blue-collar labourers. And while I don't usually get all philosophical and stuff, I have to wonder what things will look like ten years from now :-)
